Berwick Borough Housing will be holding their first annual residents’ conference on at the Swan Centre for Leisure in Tweedmouth on Wednesday 30th September 2009.
The conference will give all Berwick Borough Housing tenants the chance to hear about the associations’ plans for the year ahead and feedback their views to staff.
A highlight of the evening will be a guest appearance by Katherine Kelly who plays Becky Grainger in the ITV soap Coronation Street who will present some awards and meet and greet tenants.
All Berwick Borough Housing tenants will receive their free personal invitation through the post this week which will also include a free buffet and live entertainment by local bands Hipshake and the Ocks Ceilidh Band.
The main event will commence at 7.00pm however, doors will open at 5.00pm for residents to speak to exhibitors including Gentoo Construction, the Berwick Citizens Advice Bureau, Northumbria Police and Northumbria Fire & Rescue Services.
Berwick Borough Housing staff will be on hand from 5.00pm to talk to residents about housing services including neighbourhood services, anti-social behaviour, community development and repairs and maintenance. There will also be a special performance of Bust by Shontal – a 45min play on financial inclusion. |
